StoryLine Terms of Service

1. Use of the Service

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. Minors may use the Service only with parental or legal guardian consent, and the parent or guardian is responsible for the minor's use.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any updates.

2. Accounts

You must register using a valid mobile phone number and provide accurate information.

You may use a display name or pseudonym. You are responsible for your account and any activity associated with it. If you lose access to your phone number, you may lose access to your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. User Content

You may create, upload, and share content, including audio, video, images, and stories ("User Content").

You retain ownership of your User Content. You are solely responsible for it and represent that you have all necessary rights and permissions, including to use or depict other individuals and their likeness.

4. License to StoryLine

Private Content

For content you designate as private, you grant StoryLine a limited license to store, process, generate, and review the content to operate and improve the Service. Private content will not be used for public distribution or marketing without your permission.

Public Content

For content you make public, you grant StoryLine a worldwide, royalty-free license to:

• host, store, reproduce, and display your content within the Service;
• distribute and promote your content in connection with the Service, including on third-party platforms; and
• create limited technical or editorial modifications (such as clipping, formatting, captions, previews, or compilations).

This license does not grant StoryLine the right to develop standalone commercial works (such as films, television shows, or similar productions) based on your content without your separate permission.

These licenses survive termination as reasonably necessary for operation, legal compliance, and backup.

5. Sharing Your Content

You may download and share your User Content, including on third-party platforms, provided such use does not imply endorsement by StoryLine Labs.

6. Content Visibility

You may designate content as public or private.

Public content may be visible to others. Private content is not publicly visible but may be processed by StoryLine for operation, moderation, safety, analytics, and legal compliance. While we take reasonable measures to protect your content, no system is completely secure.

Private content will not be used for marketing or public distribution without your consent.

7. Future Paid Features

StoryLine may introduce paid features, subscriptions, or monetization programs in the future. Participation will be optional and subject to additional terms.

8. Prohibited Content

You agree not to create or share content that includes:

• Sexual Content: explicit sexual material, sexualized nudity, or any sexual content involving minors
• Graphic Violence: gore, graphic injury, or content that incites real-world harm
• Harassment & Hate: threats, bullying, hate speech, or extremist content
• Illegal or Harmful Activity: fraud, scams, illegal acts, or misleading representations of a real person that could reasonably cause harm
• Privacy Violations: Sharing or distributing intimate, private, or sensitive content of individuals without their consent

Storytelling involving difficult or emotional experiences (including conflict or crime) is permitted if it is non-graphic and not intended to cause harm.

We may remove content, restrict access, or terminate accounts at our discretion.

9. Moderation

We may review, remove, or restrict content or accounts at any time, with or without notice. We are not obligated to host or distribute any content.

10. Promotion

We may use excerpts of content you make public for promotional purposes. We will not use private content for marketing without your permission.

11. AI Disclosure

StoryLine uses artificial intelligence to generate and process content. Outputs may be imperfect or fictionalized. You are responsible for your use of generated content.

12. Disclaimers

User Content is created by users and is not verified by StoryLine. We do not guarantee accuracy or endorse User Content. Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of AI-generated outputs complies with these Terms and applicable laws. The Service is provided for entertainment purposes only.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoryLine Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. You agree to indemnify us for claims arising from your use of the Service or your content.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, and you waive class action rights where permitted.

16. Miscellaneous

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and StoryLine Labs regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of our rights.
